On October 15-18, Julia makes her Royal Opera House debut in Zauberland. Directed by Katie Mitchell, this dramatic new opera follows the story of a young woman who waits at the border of Zauberland—a magical place of peace and security. While waiting, she falls asleep and dreams about the burning city that she is being forced to leave behind. This piece features sixteen new songs by composer Bernard Foccroulle and writer Martin Crimp that are performed alongside Robert Schumann and Heinrich Heine’s Dichterliebe. Ticket info.
