As a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, cellist Yo-Yo Ma launched a social media initiative called #SongsOfComfort in an effort to share music that he finds comforting during these uncertain times. Artists from all over the world have contributed by uploading videos of themselves performing songs and pieces that are meaningful to them and using the hashtag #SongsOfComfort. Julia Bullock and conductor/pianist Christian Reif have joined in from their residence in Munich. The pair has performed songs by Franz Schubert, Connie Converse, and Carole King from their living room piano.
